Congratulations to Crystal K. Rose
2005 Pacific Business News Businesswoman of the Year

 |

Crystal
Rose was named PBN’s Businesswoman of the Year for 2005 in
recognition of her outstanding achievements in business and
the community. Ms. Rose has been involved in some of the
decade’s most significant business negotiations and court
cases. Her representation of Oswald Stender in the Bishop
Estate controversy and efforts to build a new model of
stewardship at Kamehameha Schools is well known. In the
last year she has gone from assisting Central Pacific Bank
close its merger deal to defending Kamehameha Schools in a
legal challenge to its admission policy to representing
Xerox Corp. in a settlement with the families killed by
Byran Uyesugi in 1999. Clint Arnoldus, Chief Executive of
Central Pacific Bank, said, “Crystal knows no fear. Nothing
intimidates her. She never backs down. Yet she gets things
done without irritating people. She combines tenacity with
finesse.”
